Propulsion Testing

As part of our emphasis on launch system technologies and architectures, the Space Launch Corporation is heavily focused on the development of aerospace propulsion systems. To support these efforts, the company has established a state-of-the-art propulsion test facility in Mojave, CA called the California Rocket Test Center (CRTC).

The center houses three fully operational test stands of varying size and is supported by dedicated control computers, data acquisition systems and the capability for on-demand video recording and digitizing of test results. Infrastructure in place at the center can support the testing of solid, liquid, cold gas and hybrid propulsion systems, including those systems that use liquid oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, at thrust levels from 0.1 lbf up to 500,000 lbf. As part of our service, we also offer experienced technicians for customers who wish to subcontract out all their testing requirements.

The facility also has four additional test cells to accommodate customers who have their own thrust stands and/or data acquisition systems. Such customers will benefit from a secure and remote testing environment supported by a wide range of infrastructure (workshop, office space, kitchenette) and utilities that the center has to offer.

The California Rocket Test Center is located approximately an hour and a half north of Los Angeles at the Mojave Airport in Mojave Califor
